to the Roskilde's player

23 and Roskilde Festival have joined in a multi-year partnership to make the new Orange TV a shining example of how to reinvent the festival experience with video.


How does it work?

Roskilde Festival’s new video website is out and it needs a new video player. Take the exclusive challenge to inspire on how their new player should look, feel and work and get the opportunity to enjoy the festival with 3 people from your team – and with 23.

The challenge is simple: The festival itself is 8 days. The player experience on the video website needs to bring the festival spirit to the web for the rest of the year. But how?

You do not need to be a web designer or developer to rock this competition; we are looking for concepts and ideas, so anyone can participate. Our new player builder allows our players to be extremely flexible and fully customizable, giving you the chance to be as creative as you want.

How do I participate?

To participate you need to:

  • Upload a video pitching your own version of the Roskilde Festival new player, max. 3 min.
  • You may use any visual elements on your video to describe your idea.
  • Explain how the player should work before a video is played, during play, when pausing and after playing.
  • Best pitch will be chosen based on these three elements: Reinvention (creativity), User Experience (interaction) and Design (orange feeling).
  • If you want to add any design sketches feel free to upload an optional extra file.

Upload your video by Wednesday 12th of June. Roskilde Festival’s and the 23 team will choose the winner and announce it on Thursday 13th of June by 10am Roskilde time. The competition is open to all 23 Video partner companies.

Winners’ experience includes:

  • 4 full festival tickets with access to the media area
  • Two tents, four sleeping bags, plus beer.
  • Invite to the 23 party at Roskilde Festival warm-up.
